Directions for Photographers & Artists
The first thing you should do is look at the website. There are a couple of great photos there. Also, the  Texas Tare site shows the current photos that we are working to replace. They are listed below under "other galleries".

We are looking for art- we have plenty of the "school photo" looks. We need "that special gleam" or to capture their essence! We are creating a photo to help a prospective parent see the child as they are- special. 
Total we need: 7 photos, your e-mail address, your bio and a brief summary of the time you spent with the child. Click to see the Questions you might ask to help create a website for the kids.

SIBLING GROUPS: We need them together 7X, and separate as listed above 7X. (Details below) 

Heart Gallery needs 1 high quality art piece for the traveling portrait, (300 DPI- at least an 8X10, we will blow it up to a 20X24 or there about so you are welcome to send it larger.) The art print should have your logo, it should be ready to be printed and flattened. It should be a jpg or a pdf. (This is not the shot we want to use on the website - this is to be "unveiled" at the show.) This should the most unique look!

WHEN NAMING PHOTOS- please use the name of the child when saving, if you are the only one there we have a hard time deciding which is which if they are not named. 

If you are photographing a sibling group the siblings should be together in the one shot that will be used in the show. 

Heart Gallery needs 5 shots per child and a few sibling group shots (if siblings) for the website right away. You should choose a variety of shots. If you are able, please write about the time you spent with the child(ren) for their web page. It helps people to better understand the personality of the child or dynamics of the family. Please send these as jpg at 300 dpi and make them 4X5.  If siblings: Please somehow name the files so that the siblings are seperatable, (G1 for George- M1 for Mike, etc.)  Please specify which sibling group shot you suggest for the link to the page. 
Also: Please send a bio and any contact information about yourself. 

We need one fairly conservative shot for the TARE (State site). We need one sibling group shot, and one shot of each child. These should be 300dpi - 4X5's) Also specify these shots with an additional (tare) at the end of the name- Example: G1tare.jpg

If you are not a photographer: 
We will pair you up with a photographer to get shots for the web and your use for painting, drawing or sculpting the children... Please specify on the form.

All photos may be e-mailed to easttexasheartgallery@yahoo.com if they are under 10 megs. If larger please e-mail and ask for an address.

You will be asked to fill out a form for the state that serves as a background check before you are able to work with the children.  Once the form is submitted (work load allowing) you will be contacted within a few days. 

NY Times calls it a creative and beautiful way to help facilitate the adoption of deserving children.
